How rude
I saw an astonishing display of rudeness at the weekend. In  restuarant where the tables were quite close together and the person in the next booth took a call on her cell phone. Annoying enough but then she proceeded to continue the conversation on the speakerphone.
This has to be the most irritating and selfish display of bad manners I have seen in a long time.

re. runcible spoon
A runcible spoon is a small fork with 3 prongs one of which is sharp and curved like a spoon. It's modern equivalent is the spork. It was probably used to eat small things such as pickles if a pickle fork was unavailable.
